SouthWest Bank Taps Banda for Commercial Lending in Odessa

November 17, 2022

Kaylie BandaOdessa-based SouthWest Bank has appointed Kaylie Banda vice president/commercial lender. She is based out of the bank’s Eighth St. branch in downtown Odessa.

Banda joins SouthWest Bank from Frost Bank where she was a commercial loan officer. With seven years of experience in the banking industry, she began her career as an analyst and underwent extensive underwriting training. After three years in that role, she was promoted to commercial loan officer.

Banda holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University. She also earned an MBA degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Banda currently serves as chairwoman of the Young Professionals of Odessa, a program of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the board of directors for The Permian Basin Rehab Center and the Ellen Noel Art Museum, and is a member of Odessans for Ethical Leadership. She is active in her church community at Odessa Christian Faith Center. She previously served as president of the Ellen Noel Art Museum.

Established in 1999, SouthWest Bank has banking offices in Odessa, Midland and Lubbock.
