Nacogdoches-based Commercial Bank of Texas has promoted Jessica Hawkins to community president for Anderson County. She has been part of the Commercial Bank of Texas team for the past 18 years and has served as Anderson County branch manager since 2015, overseeing operations at branches in Palestine and Elkhart. Prior to moving to Anderson County, Hawkins was administrative assistant, team leader, mortgage underwriter and loan administration clerk at the bank’s Nacogdoches office.
Hawkins earned her BBA degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and an MS degree from Texas A&M University–Commerce. She gives back to her community by serving as president of Blankets and Bears and as an advisory board member for the East Central Texas United Way. She is a member of the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary, Harvey Women’s Club and Mystics of Time.
“This position will be a wonderful way to expand our service to the community,” Hawkins says. “A lot of my responsibility will be to explore ways to help the community. Commercial Bank of Texas donates a lot to various causes, but we also want to volunteer and serve the community hands-on and be personally involved.”
Established in 1901, Commercial Bank of Texas has 22 branches in 17 communities in Texas.
