Loan Review Analyst | JRBT Bank Consulting | Waco, Texas and Possible Remote

March 30, 2023

JRBT Bank Consulting, a division of Jaynes Reitmeier Boyd & Therrell, P.C. Certified Public Accountants, is looking for an entry-level Loan Review Analyst. Under the direction of the Director and Managers, performs entry-level consulting work in credit risk measurement and risk management practices for a financial institution loan portfolio of commercial and consumer borrowing relationships. The position requires overnight travel, data entry, financial analysis, conducting credit reviews during onsite and/or remote consulting engagements, analyzing internal reports, reviewing industry information, assisting in the preparation of client deliverables and researching risk topics affecting the financial services industry. Reports to the Manager-in-Charge.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in credit risk-related consulting engagements.
  • Develops draft report comments and submits them to the Manager-in-Charge.
  • Ensures proper application of policies and procedures, as well as state and federal banking regulations.
  • Represents the Bank Consulting Division at bank management loan review exit meetings.
  • Assists the Manager-in-Charge as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, banking and financial institutions, business administration, economics, or job-related field.
  • Previous work experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Possess and exhibit sufficient oral and written communication skills.
  • A high level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality of bank-related records and sensitive customer information.
  • Possess a competent working knowledge in the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles including business and consumer financial statements.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and exercise initiative and independent judgment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be mentored and learn from other team members that are highly seasoned professionals.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned work on time.
