Southside Bank Celebrates Completion of Lufkin Branch Remodel

March 16, 2023

On January 26, associates from Tyler-based Southside Bank, members of the Lufkin Chamber of Commerce and community members gathered for a ribbon cutting and celebration of the bank’s newly renovated branch in Lufkin, located at 2510 West Frank St. The modern, innovative design echoes the bank’s sister location on S. Timberland Dr. in Lufkin and other branches throughout East Texas.

Construction on the project began in November 2021 and was fully completed in January 2023. In addition to a full-service retail branch, the West Frank location services commercial banking and commercial lending, as well as Southside Bank’s wealth management and trust department for the Southeast Texas region.

“This renovation is a reflection of [our] commitment of excellence to our customers. We are thrilled to be able to share it with the community,” says Sherri Anthony, Southeast Texas market manager.

“We believe the investment we made to remodel and modernize this facility is an investment and commitment to this community,” notes Codie Jenkins, Southeast Texas market president.

“Our clients are like family…we want only the best for them,” says Ernest King, president of the wealth management and trust division. “This building is beautiful, but it’s the people in it who will help propel our clients and their financial goals into a bright future. We are proud to partner with them.”

Established in 1960, Southside Bank operates 55 branches throughout East Texas, Southeast Texas and the greater Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin and Houston areas.
